Community Reflection on Transformative Practice

A recent Agora exchange left us sitting with a question many of us may be carrying.

Across many contexts, members are noticing shifts in their transformation practice. Under conditions of disruption, instability, and institutional uncertainty, attention seems to be moving from formal processes toward relationship-building; from visible forms of resistance toward quieter acts of care and solidarity; and from expert-led solutions toward storytelling, artistic practice, and procedural creativity.

At the same time, some are finding that familiar approaches such as negotiation, collaborative governance, civil disobedience, democratic engagement, and other established pathways for change no longer seem to work in the ways they once did.

This raises a question that feels close to the heart of transformative practice:

How are people adapting when familiar pathways for change lose traction?

We would love to hear what you are noticing, experimenting with, or rethinking in your own work. What practices are becoming more important? What assumptions are being challenged? What new possibilities are emerging?

Contributions can take the form of a short email, an informal conversation, or a written reflection that you are open to sharing with the community.
