Coral Reef Transformations Project

As coral reefs face unprecedented challenges from climate change, unsustainable tourism, and siloed governance structures, the Coral Reef Transformations Project aims to understand the interconnected drivers of reef decline and co-developing strategies that center community knowledge, social equity, and cross-scale collaboration.

With our partners at Inland Ocean Coalition, we are currently working in Roatán, Honduras, one of the Mesoamerican Reef system’s most ecologically rich and socially complex sites, we are also connecting across diverse contexts facing similar reef conservation challenges. We’re eager to engage with transdisciplinary individuals and teams across reef ecosystems exploring pathways to tackle these challenges. Our goal is to spark a global exchange of knowledge, practices, and innovations, linking projects that prioritize participatory conservation, community-led development, and multi-sector collaboration.
