The Mountain Research Initiative and its partners are inviting abstracts for the session Mountain Commons: Historical Development, Transformations, and New Forms of Commons in Mountain Regions at the 24th Swiss Geoscience Meeting.

The session will create an interdisciplinary space for exploring the changing role of mountain commons and collective resource governance. Conceptual contributions and case studies from the Alps and other mountain regions are welcome.

Potential topics include historical and transformed commons, emerging community institutions, governance challenges, collective resource management, commoning practices, and the role of collective action in responding to environmental and social change.

Abstracts may be submitted for either oral or poster presentations.
