While we are currently working on developing partnership opportunities that could potentially support travel and accommodation costs, we don’t have a specific answer just yet. However, we will keep you posted with the latest information as it becomes available.
For groups larger than 8 people, please reach out to info@transformationscommunity.org and we can explore group options.
Participation & Proposals
Flexible Interactive Dialogue Sessions will vary in format depending on the approach taken by facilitators. However, these sessions will be assessed by the conference review committee on the basis of a single proposal – individual paper abstracts from the speakers in the panel are not required.
The event invites action-oriented researchers and reflective practitioners from diverse sectors, such as academia, government, non-profits, and consulting firms. It seeks individuals committed to fostering sustainable and equitable futures through innovative leadership and participatory methods.
Acceptance of submissions will be communicated via email by March 7, 2025.
Submit a proposal via our standard process. We will get back to you for further discussion, in case the programme-committee has shortlisted you as a potential catalyst.
Yes, we will provide feedback for all submitted proposals. This ensures that participants receive valuable insights whether or not their proposals are accepted.
Event experience
A transdisciplinary space for scholars, practitioners, and artists to come together in dialogue and practice. Short presentations, long conversations, and practical workshops. We anticipate including field trips and pre or post-conference workshop opportunities. Some conference sessions will be specifically designed to encourage attendance by policymakers and practitioners. A blend of science, arts, and humanities! For the main conference in Africa we are planning to offer: Workshop Days; Gala Dinner; and Offsite Field Trip
Yes, most of the sessions will be recorded and available after the event for registered participants.
We’re actively looking into options for attendees to support local sustainability initiatives and community groups during the TC/ESG 2025 Conference. Our focus is on making this event as environmentally responsible as possible, and we’ll share more details soon on how you can contribute.
Networking opportunities will be provided through interactive sessions, workshops, and social events. Additionally, we will have dedicated networking platforms for virtual attendees. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
Yes, there will be spaces dedicated to sharing research, publications, and ongoing projects. More details on this will be provided closer to the event.
General Information
The main conference activities will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa August from 18th-21st 2025, with pre-conference activities and field trips in Skukuza the weekend before.
Absolutely! We embrace diversity and inclusivity, and welcome individuals with all types of backgrounds to attend our sessions. To ensure that they are able to participate fully in the conference, it’s important that they also complete the registration process.
The conference is open to all – scholars and practitioners are equally welcome. There are no eligibility restrictions.

Skukuza Safari Lodge is designed to accommodate guests with disabilities. The lodge offers seven universally accessible rooms that are wheelchair-friendly, ensuring comfort and convenience for all guests. Additionally, the lodge’s facilities, including dining areas and common spaces, are designed to be accessible, providing an inclusive experience for visitors with mobility challanges.
