In the next Practice Lab session, we will move from mapping AI-augmented workflows to making judgments about them.
What would it realistically take to introduce these workflows into our work? What organisational trust and buy-in would be needed? What safeguards should be in place, and how do these decisions sit ethically and politically?
We will also explore a deeper question: what kind of practitioners do we want to become, and what role should wisdom play in our choices about AI? Some potential uses of AI may appear beneficial—and even responsible—but could ultimately prove unwise. This session will create space to consider not only what AI can do, but what kinds of practice we want to cultivate.
If you committed to a small experiment after the previous session, please bring what you have learned. If you are still sitting with a tension or uncertainty in one of your workflows, bring that too. Both will help ground the discussion in the practical realities of adopting AI in our work.
We will also use the session to discuss—and run a few polls on—where the Practice Lab should go next. We would like as many voices as possible to contribute, so registered participants are warmly encouraged to join us, and interested members still have time to sign up.
