Dear Friends & Colleagues,
Across the Transformations Community, we’re seeing more work unfold under unstable, contested, and rapidly changing conditions. We’re especially interested in how this plays out in practice, where roles shift and judgment is required without clear guidance.
This August, we’re hosting a symposium at the National Sustainability Society conference and are looking for 4–5 contributors to share brief reflections (10 minutes) on work adapting under disruption, whether ecological, institutional, technological, or social.
We’ll explore questions around uncertainty, credibility, coordination, and navigating trade-offs between urgency, care, and inclusion.
If this reflects your work, we’d love to hear from you.

When: August 17–19, 2026
