The arrival of AI into our daily lives represents a major rupture. We’re building a new vocabulary and toolkit to help us meet this moment with wisdom. But we need YOU to make this happen.
To create the first draft of the pattern language, we’re working with community members and other subject specialists to collect a range of data. We’re adopting a deliberately pluralistic epistemology, bridging multiple disciplines and knowledge systems (from decolonial philosophy to stories of lived experience).
If this work resonates with you and you’re ready to help us shape it, there are several ways to dive in. Choose the path that best fits your interest, and we’ll be in touch to bring you into the process.
How You Can Participate
Share A Real AI Moment
Send us a short, anonymized excerpt from a chatbot exchange that reflects how you use AI, along with brief reflections. Your input will help us map real practice across the community.
Join Our Advisory Board
Support the project more closely by helping design and critique it behind the scenes. We are inviting 3 to 5 TC members and will remunerate participants. You do not need to be an AI expert. Interest in the topic or experience with pattern languages or co-design is enough. Express interest here.
Join a TC AI Practice Lab Session
Bring your questions, ideas, and experiments to an expert-facilitated community of practice. Together, we will share real use cases, test new approaches, and learn what works and why.
Expert Interviews
If you are working deeply on AI in this field, volunteer for a 60 minute interview between March and May. You can also nominate someone we should speak with. This might include people who are deeply opposed to AI!
Suggest Literature
We are conducting literature reviews on AI in transformations and systems change. If there are key authors or texts we should not miss, send your suggestions here.
What’s Next
In Phase 2, we move into co-design. Everyone who has contributed will be invited to join the design process, with flexible roles and levels of commitment. If you are already interested and have signed up through one of the links above, let us know here.
Throughout 2026, we will share updates and emerging insights while continuing to welcome contributions. We look forward to hearing from you!
